Conversation Zooms vs. Accent Training with me: What’s the Difference?
Feb 12, 2026If you’re thinking about working with me one-on-one, you might be wondering:
Should I book Conversation & Feedback sessions… or commit to Accent Training?
They are rather different experiences.
Let me break it down clearly so you can choose what’s right for you.
Option 1: Conversation & Feedback Sessions
These sessions are best for you if:
-
You want conversational English practice
- You want to gain more confidence in speaking English
-
You want pronunciation feedback
-
You want to sound more natural
-
You prefer something flexible and less structured
-
You’re not ready to commit to a 12-week program
These sessions are:
✔ Casual and flexible
✔ Conversation-based
✔ Focused on spoken English
✔ Not grammar-heavy
✔ Not academic (no IELTS/CELPIP prep)
At the end of each session, I’ll go over:
-
Your biggest pronunciation issues
-
Patterns that make you sound unnatural
-
Grammar habits that native speakers wouldn’t typically use
You’ll still improve — especially if you practice outside of sessions — but this is a lighter, more relaxed format.
These sessions are also flexible.
You can:
-
Practice a work presentation
-
Read aloud from a book
-
Work on fluency
-
Play English-speaking games
-
Simply talk and get feedback
However, there is no Telegram support between sessions, and it is much less intensive than Accent Training.
If you have very advanced, subtle pronunciation issues, it may be harder to correct them in a conversational setting. However, we could also analyze your voice messages together if you want to look at your accent in detail.
Option 2: 12-Week Accent Training (Intensive)
Accent Training is completely different.
This is for you if:
-
You are serious about refining your accent
-
You live in North America (ideal but not required)
-
You are ready to practice 10–15 minutes per day
-
You want structure, repetition, and measurable progress
- You are already generally understood by native speakers in North America
This program is:
✔ 12 weeks
✔ Structured
✔ Repetitive (on purpose)
✔ Habit-building
We work on:
-
One sound or one major aspect per week
-
Sometimes we repeat sounds
-
Word drills
-
Sentence drills
-
Short application exercises
There is very little conversation.
Why?
Because we are building new pronunciation habits.
Think of it like going to the gym.
Repetition builds muscle.
Repetition builds accent habits.
You will:
-
Receive specific word and phrase homework
-
Practice 10–15 minutes daily
-
Have Telegram access to send voice messages
-
Ask: “Did I pronounce this correctly?”
-
Get reinforcement so you don’t practice incorrectly
This is intense.
It can feel repetitive.
Some people may even find it boring.
But it works.
Because we are creating new muscle memory.
So… Which One Is Right for You?
Choose Conversation & Feedback Sessions if:
-
You want flexibility
-
You want conversation practice
-
You want feedback without a long-term commitment
-
You prefer relaxed learning
Choose Accent Training if:
-
You are serious about changing your accent
-
You want structure and accountability
-
You’re ready to practice daily
-
You want targeted sound-by-sound refinement
Both options will help you improve.
The difference is intensity, structure, and level of commitment.
Final Note
Conversation sessions are not:
-
IELTS prep
-
CELPIP prep
-
Writing coaching
-
Grammar-heavy lessons
They are focused on spoken English and sounding more natural.
Accent Training, on the other hand, is a structured transformation process.
If you’re unsure which is right for you, feel free to reach out.
I’m always happy to guide you in the right direction.
